Texting is really viral to all ages in this world. After a
long period of time writing letters, telegrams and many more is a way to say
what you really want to deliver. There arose a new invention to easily
communicate to others known for the cell phones. In just a simple click you can
easily send the message you want to say. That is how the others use the cell
phone but there rose a problem which made changes in the capability of others
to speak fluently.
Since I have
a phone I have been influenced by others to use shortcuts while I’m texting.
This is a way of making the words shorter and it depends on the receiver of the
message how he/she will read it to be able to know the message of the text. At
first I don’t want these things to be applied in my system but as time goes by
I am now used with it. If these things affect my English fluency well for me
it’s a no. Why? It is because when I’m texting it is usually Tagalog so the real affected is how I
will write the Tagalog words. But I
really trying hard to straighten the wrong curves I’m doing right now.
Texting is
not really bad for us. It always depends on the person that will type the
message. Maybe this is a new way of communication but we need to kept in mind
that we don’t need those shortcuts if it will affects our fluency in English or
in Tagalog.
